Are you in need of some diaper cake ideas?  There are lots of places to get inspiration.

First of all, how is the baby's nursery decorated?  This can be a great starting point.  Also, if you buy diapers that are size 2 or 3, the baby will not need them right away, and the cake can be used as a short-term decoration in the little one's nursery.

Another thing to consider is the theme of the baby shower.  Many times, diaper cakes are used as the centerpiece at these events.  Talk with the host or hostess of the shower, and find out what theme or colors are being used for the decorations.

Do you know if the expectant parents are expecting a little girl or a little boy?  You can base your diaper cake ideas on the gender of the baby.  For example, pink ribbons with tulle and flowers would be perfect for a little girl.  Plaid ribbon with train die cuts would be a great idea for a baby boy.
