What Is A Diaper Cake?

Barnyard Diaper Cake with Farm Friends
Old McDonald had a farm, but did he have a barnyard diaper cake? I don't know, but I do know that this theme is absolutely adorable and is as fun to give as it is to receive!
When you think of farms, what do you think of first? The animals, of course! Cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, and ducks. No matter the number of tiers, one of these cute little critters is the perfect way to top off this style of cake. However, although a stuffed animal is the perfect topper, make sure it's baby friendly and does not pose any choking hazards.
What color are most barns? Well, here in Indiana, red seems to be the predominant color, and I'm guessing it's popular elsewhere too! Red is a great choice to use as the ribbon surrounding the cake. Yep, diaper cakes really can come in all shapes and sizes, but this has got to be one of my personal favorites - it's such a cute and original idea!
